In 1969, the National League was divided into two baseball divisions -- wacky as it turned out to be. For example, the Atlanta Braves were placed in the West Division, while the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs were Eastern Division teams. Cincinnati was also placed in the National League West. The Chicago Cubs sued to stay out of the west and remain in the east in the 1990s, when three divisions were formed. They ended up in the new Central division. Who was placed in the What, the What in I Dunno, I Dunno Today, Tommorrow is in Because. Why? I Dunno. He's on Third. And I don't give a darn!

In 1983, if you've only seen Buddy Hackett performing his act on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson," you've no idea how filthy he can really be. HBO is willing to let him do his full nightclub act, "Live and Uncensored" from Merv Griffin's Resorts International in Atlantic City.
In 1985, after three and a half months of a less then enthusiastic reception for the "new" Coke and pressured by its customers, Coca-Cola Co. resumed selling old formula Coke, but announced they would continue to sell "New" Coke and call the original "Classic" Coke. You see the new coke used to be the old coke with the old formula, which is now the new formula for the new coke, then called coke. The classic coke used to not exist with the old coke's formula before the formula that was in new coke when it was still the formula for the coke before it became new. Do you understand all this? Neither do I. Let's have a Pepsi and think this over. Can you even find Coke II on store shelves these days?

In 2000, Ventura Misses Soap Cameo. Gov. Jesse Ventura skipped watching his cameo on the soap opera "The Young and the Restless" because he was busy talking education. "You go out, you do it, you have fun doing it," he said. "I'll see a tape of it later. I did it weeks ago. It's not fresh in my mind now." Ventura played himself on his favorite soap opera, appearing in scenes with stars Melody Thomas Scott and Eric Braeden, who plays villain industrialist Victor Newman on the CBS show. In one scene, Victor asks Ventura why he decided not to run for president. "Why don't you run with me?" Ventura says. "We'd be the dream ticket." Victor concedes it is an "interesting idea" but says there is one problem -- who would take the top spot? Ventura ponders the question for a moment. "That would be a problem -- if our egos were to clash, I don't think the country could survive it," he growls.
